Total’s Tuition Assistance Program Has More Graduates!
Did you know we have a Tuition Assistance Program created just for our office/shop team members? It’s true! The company will reimburse qualified employees up to $4,000 per year for undergraduate degrees and certifications and up to $5,000 for graduate degree programs.
But this is nothing new. In fact, we already have a new round of graduates! Congratulations to all of you!
Chad Kinnision, Maintenance Director:
Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with Minors in Business, Education, and Psychology
Chad started his career with Total Transportation in 2015 as a Parts Coordinator. He worked diligently and later moved to Service Coordinator, then Parts Manager, Area Maintenance Manager, and now Maintenance Director.
He says, “I have truly appreciated how CEO John Stomps and the HR Department have supported me throughout the entire education process. I pursued my degree through the Tuition Assistance Program because education is extremely important to me and the program made it more attainable. You can’t put a price on education. I’ve already used what I’ve learned here at Total, and I hope to continue applying my knowledge to better the company.”
Kourtney Moncure, Customer Service Representative
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Kourtney began her career at Total Transportation as a Customer Service Representative in 2017.
“I obtained an MBA from my alma mater, Belhaven University. My motivators were my parents. Since I was a child, they have always stressed the importance of education as the gateway to achieving my dreams,” she says. “This MBA will allow me to advance in my career and bring more ideas and processes I have learned to Total. I hope I can serve as an inspiration to my colleagues who are interested in furthering their education through this wonderful program.”
Constance Walker, Human Resources Generalist (effective June 7th)
Human Resources Certificate
Constance graduated from the University of West Alabama with a master’s degree of Science in Counseling and Psychology. In 2019, she started as a Management Trainee at Total Transportation before becoming a Customer Service Representative. Constance applied for the Tuition Assistance Program to acquire her Human Resources certificate. This opened the door for her to transition to the HR Department effective June 7th as a Human Resources Generalist.
She says, “I pursued my HR graduate certification at Belhaven University to become more marketable and open doors for better career opportunities. It was super easy to sign up, and after completion, I was reimbursed within a week!”
