In light of the World Health Organizations’ announcement that COVID-19 has become a global pandemic, Please know that we, at Total Transportation of MS, are doing everything in our power to keep our drivers, customers, employees, and business operations safe. The continuity of our business operations is something we take seriously. Our key employees are equipped with the technology to work remotely from anywhere in the country. You can rest assured that our office staff—fleet managers, load planners, customer service personnel, accountants, etc.—will continue to service our accounts with the same high level of responsiveness our customers have come to expect. Internally, we are taking every precaution to minimize the exposure to our drivers and staff.
We have issued a set of guidelines for reporting and self-care—reminding everyone to stay home when sick, wash hands frequently, to always cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing, and to thoroughly clean touched surfaces. To that end, we have expanded our janitorial cleaning protocols, and have made disinfectants readily available to anyone visiting our terminals. Furthermore, we are actively screening staff and visitors for exposure risk (using the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines) and have made arrangements to move our orientation/training offsite for the foreseeable future.
It is our genuine hope that these preparations will prove unnecessary. However, if that’s not the case, we are prepared to continue operations using our contingency plans. We remain dedicated to Safety, Security, and Service.
