Total Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for a Fleet Manager at our Olive Branch, MS Terminal.

The primary duty of the fleet manager will be to manage a fleet of designated drivers and tractors. The fleet manager will maintain relationships with dispatch, customer service, load planning, and driver payroll personnel to ensure company goals are met. In addition, the candidate will make capacity availability by maintaining seated truck count, accurate driver PTA’s, and keep driver turnover down; Ensure on time service is met and address possible service issues in a timely manner while coordinating with Customer Service and Load Planning departments. Repower loads as needed. Approve driver’s home time requests and serve as liaison between the driver and Load Planning to ensure freight is available for the drivers to get home on time. Provide accurate and detailed information regarding directions, load information, pick-up/delivery times and other special load related information.

Training will be available for a successful candidate. A college degree is preferred but work experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. Basic computer skills are required, along with the ability to learn our daily transportation software applications. Must be motivated, possess a positive attitude and work as a team member in the department. Excellent people skills are a must. Six months of transportation management experience, including directly managing a driver fleet is required.
