Bob Viso Jr.

Vice President of Recruiting & Safety

Bob leads Total Transportation's Recruiting and Safety teams, hiring and training both experienced drivers and recent CDL graduates as well as ensuring our existing fleet remains informed of current regulatory matters and demonstrates safe driving practices while traveling our nation’s highways.

Prior to joining Total Transportation, Bob was the Vice President of Pricing for U.S. Xpress, Inc.  During his fourteen year tenure with U.S. Xpress, he managed several revenue accounting functions and headed up the Safety and Driver Training areas for five years.

With a strong knowledge of process management, Bob has been charged with the task of streamlining the recruiting and marketing efforts, ensuring Total maintains its reputation for hiring and training the best drivers in the industry.  With the implementation of several initiatives specifically focusing on safety performance, Bob is building upon Total’s well established safety culture.

Bob Viso holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and holds degrees in Marketing and Management from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.  In addition, Bob has received his Certified Director of Safety (CDS) designation through the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI).
