Total Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for a Fleet Manager at our Olive Branch, MS Terminal.

The primary duty of the fleet manager will be to manage a fleet of designated drivers and tractors. The fleet manager will maintain relationships with dispatch, customer service, load planning, and driver payroll personnel to ensure company goals are met. In addition, the candidate will make capacity availability by maintaining seated truck count, accurate driver PTA’s, and keep driver turnover down; Ensure on time service is met and address possible service issues in a timely manner while coordinating with Customer Service and Load Planning departments. Repower loads as needed. Approve driver’s home time requests and serve as liaison between the driver and Load Planning to ensure freight is available for the drivers to get home on time. Provide accurate and detailed information regarding directions, load information, pick-up/delivery times and other special load related information.

Training will be available for a successful candidate. A college degree is preferred but work experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. Basic computer skills are required, along with the ability to learn our daily transportation software applications. Must be motivated, possess a positive attitude and work as a team member in the department. Excellent people skills are a must. Shift is Sunday – Thursday (0700 – 1700).

Notice OF JOB OPENING

Total Transportation of MS LLC has a job opening available for a NIGHT DISPATCHER at our Loudon, TN location.

The primary duty of the Night Dispatcher is to maintain fleet coverage during extended hours by maintaining seated truck count, accurate driver PTA’s and keeping drivers turnover down. The night dispatcher will maintain a relationship with drivers and ensure on time service is met (address possible service issues in a timely manner while coordinating with Customer Service and Load Planning departments). Repower loads as needed. The qualified applicant should have a basic knowledge of US geography and the calculation of transit times across multiple US time zones and comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT national and state). This position works Sunday through Tuesday (1800 – 0600) rotates Saturday.

The qualified applicant must possess any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma. AS400 experience is preferred and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Notice OF JOB OPENING

Total Transportation of MS LLC has a job opening available for a Range Trainer at our Jackson, MS location.

The qualified applicant is responsible for delivering driver training and development in compliance with Company, Federal, and State regulations. Assessing and coaching drivers of articulated vehicles, both in the truck and in a simulator environment, maintaining accurate records of all training, and fostering an encouraging learning environment.

 

The trainer will conduct driver facing development in classroom, one-on-one, and hands-on settings. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques. Maintain accurate records of attendance, class completions, evaluations, and coaching session in the appropriate systems. Offer specific training and development programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. Coach/Counsel drivers in collaboration with Operations and Safety for violations of DOT Regulations, FMCSR, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct on-road tests and other evaluations with drivers to determine if drivers meet Total Transportation skills standards and are in compliance.

 

The qualified applicant may have any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma and verifiable 3 months of OTR driving experience with no safety or performance deficiencies, hold a CDL Class A.
