Total Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for a PT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (AMAZON) at Loudon, TN Terminal.

Total Transportation, a leading transportation provider, is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Team as PT Operations Coordinator.  As the operations coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning and directing all aspects of the Amazon operational procedures, objectives, processes, and initiatives. Develop and analyze statistical information to find weaknesses within the operations network and correct the issues. Work with Fleet Managers, Terminal Managers, and planners to assure on time delivery service is obtained. Develop programs to further improve Amazon service performance. Monitor Amazon scorecard and work on corrective actions.

Job Functions:

  • Monitors the AMAZON account to ensure on time delivery is made.
  • Communicate issues found to the planners, Fleet Managers, and Terminal Managers and offer solutions to problems - escalates to Directors and VP’s if necessary.
  • Work with recruiting for driver/team hiring to fill service route needs
  • Utilize all network to optimize Amazon routes
  • Create driver consistencies with repeating visits to account locations

 

Job Requirements

  • Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a four year degree
  • 5 years in-depth high volume field operational experience
  • Superior analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; Strong problem solving and innovative thinking skills
  • Extreme patience dealing with volatile situations; flawless follow-up procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT – national and state)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; query and/or database application programs (Showcase or Access)
  • Strategic thinker with proven leadership skills.

Total Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for a Trailer Tech II position at our Jackson Terminal.

The qualified applicant will perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, air system, suspension, light trailer body repairs including doors, tires, lighting systems, etc. tires, wiring, etc. The applicant will also accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in timely fashion. Pull trailers in and out of shop using a yard jockey before and after repairs. Clean and maintain work area on a daily basis. Maintain a high productivity level and complete jobs within or close to SRT times. Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers. Check vehicle fluids; transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.

 

High school diploma or GED preferred and 2-3 years mechanical experience preferred. DOT/and brake certifications required to perform PMs and brake work. Valid Driver’s License required and basic computer skills preferred. Basic welding skills preferred.

Total Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for a Weekend Fleet Manager at our Jackson, MS Terminal.

The primary duty of the fleet manager will be to manage a fleet of designated drivers and tractors. The fleet manager will maintain relationships with dispatch, customer service, load planning, and driver payroll personnel to ensure company goals are met. In addition, the candidate will make capacity availability by maintaining seated truck count, accurate driver PTA’s, and keep driver turnover down; Ensure on time service is met and address possible service issues in a timely manner while coordinating with Customer Service and Load Planning departments. Repower loads as needed. Approve driver’s home time requests and serve as liaison between the driver and Load Planning to ensure freight is available for the drivers to get home on time. Provide accurate and detailed information regarding directions, load information, pick-up/delivery times and other special load related information.

Training will be available for a successful candidate. A college degree is preferred but work experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. Basic computer skills are required, along with the ability to learn our daily transportation software applications. Must be motivated, possess a positive attitude and work as a team member in the department. Excellent people skills are a must. The shift for this position is Friday – Monday (6am – 6pm)

Total Transportation of MS LLC has a job opening available for a Safety Compliance and Cargo Examiner at our Jackson, MS location.

The primary duties of the Safety Compliance and Cargo Examiner will be to monitor and update Driver Qualification Files for TTMS employees along with submitting and uploading documents internally and externally. Provide support with random drug and alcohol procedures that include tracking, communication selection and providing paperwork to clinics. Provide and present training in new hire orientation classes as needed. Receive and investigate claims of damages, overages, shortages or damages to customer’s cargo. Review claim files, estimates, and pictures to access damages. The examiner will review customer contracts to access TTMS liability for freight and ensure compliance with contingency transport clauses. Sets and adjusts reserves within approved limits for the dollar amount of damages or the contractual amount of liability. Requests checks for payment to customers, repair facilities, wrecker services and independent adjusters.

The qualified applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Up to 2 years of applicable experience in Risk and/or Insurance required – Tractor Trailer claims experience is beneficial. Strong reasoning, analytical, and negotiation/consulting skills and proficient in use of computer including MS Word and Excel (AS400 knowledge is helpful)
