TOTAL Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for an Operations Assistant at our Loudon, TN Terminal

The Operations Assistant perform clerical tasks, such as answering phones and file documents or records. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain information and address complaints. Shift for this position is Friday – Monday (10 hours – 4 day work week).

Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma and one or more years’ experience in the trucking industry or customer service. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Programs.

Notice OF JOB OPENING

TOTAL Transportation of MS, LLC has a job opening available for a Trailer Tech II position at our Jackson Terminal.

The qualified applicant will perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, air system, suspension, light trailer body repairs including doors, tires, lighting systems, etc. tires, wiring, etc. The applicant will also accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion. Pull trailers in and out of shop using a yard jockey before and after repairs. Clean and maintain work area on a daily basis. Maintain a high productivity level and complete jobs within or close to SRT times. Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers. Check vehicle fluids; transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.

 

High school diploma or GED preferred and 2-3 years mechanical experience preferred. DOT/and brake certifications required to perform PMs and brake work. Valid Driver’s License required and basic computer skills preferred. Basic welding skills preferred.

TOTAL Transportation of MS LLC has a job opening available for a Safety Compliance and Cargo Examiner at our Jackson, MS location.

The primary duties of the Safety Compliance and Cargo Examiner will be to monitor and update Driver Qualification Files for TTMS employees along with submitting and uploading documents internally and externally. Provide support with random drug and alcohol procedures that include tracking, communication selection and providing paperwork to clinics. Provide and present training in new hire orientation classes as needed. Receive and investigate claims of damages, overages, shortages or damages to customer’s cargo. Review claim files, estimates, and pictures to access damages. The examiner will review customer contracts to access TTMS liability for freight and ensure compliance with contingency transport clauses. Sets and adjusts reserves within approved limits for the dollar amount of damages or the contractual amount of liability. Requests checks for payment to customers, repair facilities, wrecker services and independent adjusters.

The qualified applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Up to 2 years of applicable experience in Risk and/or Insurance required – Tractor Trailer claims experience is beneficial. Strong reasoning, analytical, and negotiation/consulting skills and proficient in the use of computers including MS Word and Excel (AS400 knowledge is helpful)

TOTAL Transportation of MS LLC has a job opening available for a SENIOR NIGHT DISPATCHER at our Loudon, TN location.

The primary duty of the Senior Night Dispatcher is to manage fleet coverage during extended hours by maintaining seated truck count, accurate driver PTA’s and keeping drivers’ turnover down. The senior night dispatcher will maintain a relationship with drivers and ensure on time service is met (address possible service issues in a timely manner while coordinating with Customer Service and Load Planning departments). Repower loads as needed. Promote safe operation by monitoring hours of service compliance. Ensure fuel and routing compliance during extended hours. The qualified applicant should have a basic knowledge of US geography and the calculation of transit times across multiple US time zones and comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT national and state).

The qualified applicant must possess any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma. AS400 experience is preferred and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Logistics experience preferred.
